The Samsung Galaxy Note series falls under the category of business-focused devices. This series of smartphones by Samsung has boldly gone where few phones have before. By caring its legacy forward, this brand-new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with a 6.9 inch of display along with a familiar S Pen feature. It could be one of the ideal choices for anyone who desires the most premium Android smartphone — but before that, let’s take a look at all highs and lows of this phone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra review

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra – This new smartphone comes to you in a gorgeous new mystical bronze shade. Although, it’s uniquely designed camera mood stands out. This includes a 108MP primary sensor paired with a 12MP telephoto sensor capable of 5x zoom. Elsewhere there is a 12MP ultra-wide camera giving it company. But design-wise some might find it to protrude out a bit too much. The Note 20 Ultra consists of all the fantastic features of the Note 10 Plus and refines it to the tee.

To point out a few – For flawless and smooth navigation, Note 20’s display has been bumped up to a 120Hz refresh, and the S-Pen latency has been brought down to just 9ms.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 UltraFirst Impression

One word that could be used to define its look would be Classy! Yes, you read it right Classy!

When you hold this new one in your hand, it gives you those premium vibes. I must say that Samsung has taken its design-game to a new level with Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. In fact, the decision of the company to go from glossy to matte finish at the back seems like the correct decision. This giant piece of technical art has been created with metal and glass along with the glossy panel on the sides.

The company has used the latest and most reliable generation of Gorilla Glass 7 — for protection on both sides, claiming increased durability and resistance against scratches. Its triple rear cameras and the laser autofocus, populate the large camera bump on the back. The 108MP primary and the 5x periscopic telephoto sensors have been carried over from the Galaxy S20 Ultra to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Besides these two cameras, there is another one which is of 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor dispensing a 120° wide field of view.

Although the specifications of the cameras are promising, the huge camera bump prevents the smartphone from sitting straight on a flat surface. However, the smartphone does not dangle when held along the center due to a great job with weight distribution by Samsung.

With this latest one, Samsung claims to provide an improved S Pen functionality. Samsung says that they have lowered the latency (of 9ms as compared to Note 10’s 26ms) to give the impression of actually writing on a piece of paper. No doubt that the S Pen has become super smooth and takes no time to register whatever you are writing or drawing, but the sound you hear while writing feels like an unnecessary addition.

Massive, Smooth & Brilliant Display

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with a massive 6.6-inch of the display with curved edges. But you can notice a tiny hole-punch at the center of the display that houses the 10MP selfie camera. This phone has a bright, smooth, and super-responsive display. Its display is not only readable under sunlight, but it is also fairly color accurate.

The improved refresh rate of 120Hz will make the animations appear twice as smooth as on traditional 60Hz displays. And that could be considered as a reason not to buy a regular Galaxy Note 20. Overall, the display feels like everything we can expect from a smartphone.

Capture the Right Way!

Galaxy’s camera setup comprises of a 108-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. This package offers 3x optical zoom and 50x space zoom as well as supports 8K video recording. Samsung has done a great job of fixing the camera issues witnessed on its recent smartphones.

The image processing is strong too to click some good images, that did not need any edits. Another impressive quality is taking snaps in low light. This is something that the Note 10+ had struggled with but Note 20 Ultra takes steps in the right direction.

Performance is the key

Samsung Galaxy Note Ultra’s 12GB LPDDR5 RAM seems like a relief if you open too many applications simultaneously. Samsung claims that the user will not witness any aggressive app killing, and apps in the background remained undisturbed in the same state for as long as 12 hours.

Samsung has also included support for Wireless DeX, allowing you to run desktop-style apps right from your phone and view the output on a large display. You can attach a wired or wireless keyboard and mouse to make the setup more functional.

Samsung Note Ultra comes with a big enough 4500 mAh battery with a 25W fast charger inside the box.

With passing days, we will come to know more about the performance. Till now this latest addition by Samsung looks good – but is it worthy of the $1400. For this, we require to do little more research. We will report back more about Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Till then, scroll down to check out its technical specifications.
